What data WLIX stores
In short: WLIX works without an account. Only the data needed for your account and for sync between your devices is sent to the server.
What the app does on your device
Sources, watch history, favorites and lists are stored on the device. Without an account they are not sent to the server. The app’s main features can work without a connection to the WLIX server.
What reaches the server
Data is sent to the server only after you sign in with Google and turn on sync:
- Google account ID: it links your WLIX account to Google sign-in. We do not receive or store your Google password; Google handles authentication.
- Email address: to identify your account and contact you about the service.
- Device information: name, model, app version and date of last activity. It is needed to manage connected devices and sign out of them.
- Watch history and lists, if sync is on: what you watched, where you stopped and your favorites.
What WLIX doesn't store
- Passwords: you sign in with Google, and we do not receive or store Google passwords.
- Payment details: if payments are introduced, a payment service will process them. WLIX receives only the necessary information about the payment result.
- Video and files: the stream goes directly from the third-party site to your device and does not pass through WLIX servers.
- Addresses of the sites you add: they stay on the device until you turn on their sync.
Data retention period
Data is kept for as long as you use the relevant WLIX features. A device with no activity for a year is automatically signed out of the account. When you delete your account, its data is deleted without keeping archive copies, unless the law requires otherwise.
How to delete
You can delete your account on the My account page. If you cannot open it, send a request to lasthopesfree@gmail.com and we will process it manually and let you know the result.
Who we share this with
WLIX does not share data with advertising or analytics services. Some features use external services: Google for signing in and, once paid features appear, a payment service to process payments. Each service receives only the data needed for its function.
